1. About these terms

These terms apply to every purchase made on the FloatSMP store at store.floatsmp.net (the "Store"). The Store and the Minecraft server play.floatsmp.net (the "Server") are run by FloatSMP ("we", "us"). By ticking the boxes at checkout and completing a purchase, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not buy anything.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by PayNow (paynow.gg), which acts as the reseller and merchant of record for your order. PayNow's own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment. We never see or store your card or bank details.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Taxes such as VAT may be added at checkout depending on where you live. Your bank may charge currency fees.

3. Who can buy

You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to make a purchase. You must only buy for a Minecraft account that belongs to you, or as a gift for another player. You are responsible for entering the correct username and choosing the right edition (Java or Bedrock).

4. What you are buying

Everything sold on the Store is a digital, in-game item for the Server only: ranks, rank upgrades, crate keys and coins. These items have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money, and stay our property. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use them on the Server for as long as it runs and your account is in good standing.

Store items give cosmetic and convenience perks only. They do not give an unfair gameplay advantage, in line with the Minecraft Usage Guidelines. We may change, rebalance or replace perks to keep the Server fair, stable and within those guidelines.

5. Ranks, upgrades, crate keys and coins

• Ranks are permanent for the life of the Server, unless removed under section 9.
• Rank upgrades are only for players who already own the starting rank through the Store. You pay the difference between the two ranks. Only one upgrade can be bought per order, and upgrades cannot be gifted.
• Crate keys open crates on the Server. Rewards are random. The possible rewards and their chances are shown in-game.
• Coins can only be spent on the Server. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or refunded once spent.

6. Delivery

Items are delivered automatically to the account named in your order, usually within a few minutes of payment. Some items need you to be online on the Server. If something has not arrived within 24 hours, contact us (section 15) with your username and order ID and we will fix it.

7. Gifts

You can buy most items as a gift for another player. Gifts are delivered to the player you name, and cannot be moved to a different player after delivery. Check the username and edition carefully before paying.

8. Refunds

Because items are digital and delivered straight away, all sales are final once delivery has started, except where the law says otherwise.

If you live in the UK or the EU, you normally have 14 days to cancel online purchases. By completing your purchase, you ask us to deliver the items immediately and you agree that you lose this right to cancel once delivery has started.

If an item was never delivered, does not work as described, or you were charged twice, contact us and we will fix the problem or arrange a refund through PayNow. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

9. Chargebacks, fraud and bans

Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank or payment provider. If a chargeback is opened, or a payment is found to be fraudulent, we may remove the items from that order and suspend or ban the related accounts from the Server and the Store.

Buying from the Store does not exempt you from the Server rules. If you are banned for breaking the rules, you lose access to your purchased items and are not entitled to a refund, except where the law says otherwise.

10. Changes to the Server

We may update, reset parts of, or change the Server at any time, for example to fix bugs, start a new season or update the game. We will try to keep purchased ranks across changes, but we cannot promise the Server will run forever. If the Server closes for good, we will give notice on our Discord where we can. Refunds after closure are only given where the law requires it.

11. Not affiliated with Mojang

FloatSMP is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang AB or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB. Your use of Minecraft is also covered by the Minecraft End User Licence Agreement.

12. Your information

To deliver your order and prevent fraud we use your in-game name, your Minecraft UUID or Xbox ID, your IP address and country, and the details PayNow collects at checkout (such as your email address). We use this only to run the Store and the Server, deliver purchases, provide support and prevent fraud. We do not sell your data. Contact us to ask what we hold about you or to have it removed, subject to what we must keep for tax and fraud reasons.

13. Our responsibility

The Store and Server are provided as they are. We are not responsible for losses caused by things outside our control, such as outages at Mojang, Microsoft, PayNow or our hosting providers. Where the law allows, our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here when you buy is the one that applies to that purchase. Major changes will be announced on our Discord.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections given by the laws of the country you live in.
